Job summary

Watercrest Senior Living in Florida is seeking a Part Time Cook/Culinary Associate to join the culinary team. You will provide a watercrest culinary experience, support dining room service, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen aligned with dietary guidelines.

The position requires at least two years of professional food service experience and a Serv Safe certification. A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred, and on-demand pay is available.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • SERV Safe certification is required.
  • Two years of professional food service experience.
  • A culinary apprenticeship or formal training is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directs meal preparation, service, and clean-up in accordance with nutritional guidelines and resident diets.
  • Maintains proper use of cooking appliances and ensures safe kitchen operation.
  • Assists with maintaining emergency food supplies and communicates with culinary vendors.
  • Maintains dining room presence to ensure resident satisfaction and high service standards.
  • Pre-prepares meals for later times and assists in events as needed.
  • Reports needs to Executive Chef and promotes restaurant-style service.

Watercrest Spanish Springs is looking for a Cook/Culinary Associate to join their Culinary team! Bring your talents to the forefront as you provide a Watercrest Culinary Experience! Providing a variety of quality, fine dining recipes that enliven the senses of our residents, associates, and guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Servant Leadership directs all aspects of decision making
  • Conducts meal preparation, service, and clean-up in accordance with nutritional guidelines, regulations and prescribed resident diets
  • Knowledge of proper use of all cooking appliances
  • Assist with maintaining emergency food supplies
  • Communicate with all culinary vendors
  • Ensure presence in the dining room for resident satisfaction
  • Assists in providing adaptive equipment for residents when necessary
  • Ensures food service is presented in an attractive, gracious and timely manner
  • Ensure dishes, cooking utensils, and pots and pans are stored properly
  • Do pre-preparation for meals later in the day, week, or weekend or for special events
  • Reports to the Executive Chef any equipment and supplies that are needed
  • Provide a high level of culinary customer service and promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, clean, and organized cooking area
  • Must be in company uniform and resident ready at all times

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • SERV Safe (Required)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) years’ experience in professional food service
  • A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred
