Job summary

Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Cook to prepare food for patients, cafeteria, physicians’ dining room, and catering, following standardized recipes and plating guidelines.

You will maintain safe, sanitary kitchen conditions, handle and store foods properly, operate kitchen equipment, and collaborate with a dedicated team on the North Campus (4050 W. Memorial Road) with early shift hours (4am–1pm) and every other weekend (12pm–8pm).

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Formalized food safety and sanitation training preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year of related experience with high volume cooking line food preparation in a full service establishment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items for patients, cafeteria, physicians’ dining room, and catering.
• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in the kitchen to meet health and sanitation standards.
• Ensures all food is handled and stored properly; operates all kitchen equipment per directions.
• Reports equipment problems to Manager.

The OHH Cook is responsible for preparing food products utilizing basic and advanced cooking techniques, standardized recipes and plating guidelines, meeting production schedules in accordance with health, safety, and sanitary procedures while ensuring proper utilization and storage of food and supplies.
