The Cook is responsible for the preparation and cooking of food items for patients, cafeteria, and catering, with an emphasis on quality. The Cook follows strict sanitation guidelines set by the State of Florida Health Department, demonstrates Service Excellence at all times, and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training

• HS diploma/GED preferred. Work experience may substitute for each year of education. Knowledge of modified diets and training in food service sanitation.
• Must possess a food service sanitation certificate.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years experience in institutional or quantity cooking.

Licensure/Certification

• ServSafe certificate
