Job summary

Del Amo Hospital Inc. is seeking a hospital cook to prepare food for patients, hospital and medical staff, and maintain the Food Services Department in a sanitary manner.

The ideal candidate has experience in an institutional food service, ability to follow oral and written instructions, strong communication and customer service, and the flexibility to work varied hours. This role supports a multidisciplinary team and offers opportunities for professional growth within UHS.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Experience as a cook or cook’s helper in an institutional food service facility is required.
• Understand and perform oral and written instructions and procedures.
• Strong verbal, reading and written communication, and customer service skills.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
• Math skills to calculate recipes and diets.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
• Adherence to facility and department policies, Corporate Compliance Program, and Standards of Conduct.
