Job summary

University Behavioral Center, a part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking a cook to prepare meals for residents and staff on a specific menu. The role requires maintaining sanitary kitchen practices and timely service in an inpatient setting.

The position is described as a PD (as needed) role, with responsibilities extending to cleaning, organization, and adherence to health statutes for the facility located in Orlando, Florida.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduation preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years' experience cooking in a large institutional or healthcare/hospital kitchen setting. Psychiatric health care facility is preferred.
• Certification Requirements: Food Handlers Permit /ServSafe certificate required.

University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.

JOB SUMMARY

The cook is responsible for preparing / cooking meals and other food requests based on a specific menu on a timely basis, and within a required volume, to meet the food needs of the residents and staff. Responsible for promptly cleaning and organizing the work areas to maintain a required health statutes of the facility.

This is a PD position (As needed).

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education: High school graduation preferred.
