Job summary

The University Behavioral Center in Orlando, FL is seeking a cook to prepare meals per menu for residents and staff on a timely basis. You will keep work areas clean and organized to meet health standards, and support inventory and equipment maintenance in a busy hospital kitchen.

Requires 1-3 years of institutional cooking experience, preferably in a psychiatric health care setting, and a Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe certificate. High school graduation preferred.

The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.

JOB SUMMARY:

The cook is responsible for preparing / cooking meals and other food requests based on a specific menu on a timely basis, and within a required volume, to meet the food needs of the residents and staff. Responsible for promptly cleaning and organizing the work areas to maintain a required health statutes of the facility.

This is a PD position (As needed).

Requirements

Qualifications

Education: High school graduation preferred.

Experience: 1-3 years' experience cooking in a large institutional or healthcare/hospital kitchen setting. Psychiatric health care facility, is preferred.

Certification Requirements: Food Handlers Permit /ServSafe certificate required.
