Job summary

Regions Hospital is hiring a Cook to perform food preparation and cooking tasks in the kitchen and café. The role involves preparing, cooking, supplying, and distributing food to various serving lines, as well as cleaning and sanitizing work areas and utensils.

The position is 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) with scheduled shifts including Production Cook and Entree Cook, starting at $22.86/hour. Healthcare kitchen experience preferred; culinary education can substitute for experience.

Qualifications

• One year of professional cooking experience in a healthcare kitchen, restaurant or catering with high-volume, high-quality food production.
• Culinary education will substitute for one year of professional experience.

This position prepares, cooks, supplies, and distributes food to various serving lines. This position also cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, and work areas. Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Production Cook (5:00am-1:30pm), Entree Cook(7:00am-3:30pm)

• Wk1: Mon (Production Cook), Wed (Entree)
• Wk2: Sat (Production Cook), Sun (Production cook), Thur(Entree), Fri (Production Cook)

Required Qualifications:

• One year of professional cooking experience in a healthcare kitchen, restaurant or catering with high-volume, high-quality food production, short order cooking or institutional baking.
• Culinary education will substitute for one year of professional experience.

Salary Range: Starting Rate: $22.86/hour. Pay rate is based off previous cook work experience.
