Job summary

The Allure Group seeks a Cook to join Crown Heights Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brooklyn, NY. You will prepare meals according to menu and dietary prescriptions, ensuring safety and quality in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring temperatures, accommodating dietary restrictions, assisting with inventory, and maintaining supplies for service. High school diploma required; COVID-19 vaccination preferred; prior dietary experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in quantities according to the menu, recipe, and number of persons to be served
• Comply with state, federal, and all other applicable health care, safety, and sanitation standards
• Monitor and record temperatures in refrigerators and freezers
• Inspect special dietary restrictions of residents to assure that the correct diet is served to residents
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services
• Ensure that food and supplies for meals are readily available
• Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc. as necessary

Cook Responsibilities
