Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a part-time Nutrition Services team member to deliver meals and related services to patients and customers. You will follow recipes, maintain sanitary work areas, and ensure proper diet compliance with HACCP documentation.

Responsibilities include portioning, knowledge of basic diets, and supporting privacy and confidentiality standards for patients and staff. Various shifts are available in the Nutrition Services department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; sanitation certificate required.
• Part-time shifts across varying times.
• Experience in food service preferred.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the delivery of food and services to patients and customers. Follows all cooking assignments maintaining a sanitary and safe working area at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows sanitation guidelines
• Follows recipes and preparation instructions
• Accurately and efficiently uses cooking equipment
• Knowledgeable of basic diet
• Properly portions all food and ingredients per department standards
• Prepares food to accurate consistency per diet requirements
• Preps food items for current use and next day
• Follows production sheets and records all related HACCP documentation
• Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits
• Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct

Required Qualifications:

Education and Training: High School Graduate or equivalent preferred Sanitation Certificate required
