Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is seeking personnel to prepare center meals according to pre-planned menus and regulatory directives. The role involves supervising cook helpers and students, keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and compliant with health standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus food service training and at least one year of experience. A valid driver’s license is preferred and benefits include health insurance, retirement, and paid time off.

• Food service training and one (1) year experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all center meals in accordance with pre-planned menus and government/management directives.
• Instruct cook helpers and work-based learning students in safe, hygienic food preparation and serving.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen areas and equipment.

Varies, Full time, 8 hours shifts- 10:30 am to 7:30 pm, with some overtime possibilities.

Job responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the preparation of all center meals in accordance with pre-planned menus in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions

• Assist in instructing cook helpers and work-based learning students in the safe, hygienic method of preparing and serving appetizing, eye-appealing meals.
• Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly workable condition, and ensure the work area is safe, clean, and sanitary at all times.
• Assist in cleaning kitchen work areas following each meal.
• Promote and support positive customer service through the facility.
• Participate and promote student employability programs and activities.

Education And Experience Requirements

• HSD or equivalent
• Food service training and One (1) year experience preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving records. unless waived by management.
