Now Hiring Part-Time Cooks for Day & Evening Shifts

Join our culinary team at ASC and play a crucial role in preparing and serving delicious, nutritious meals while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and food safety for our residents.

Key Responsibilities of a Cook include:
  • Following recipes and preparing food according to menus that meet residents' nutritional needs.
  • Cooking or preparing palatable, attractive, and nutritionally adequate meals in required quantities.
  • Leading kitchen staff in food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and managing supplies and equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean food service work area during food preparation and service.
  • Handling, storing, and disposing of food supplies in compliance with departmental procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Required: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling (can be earned while employed).
  • Preferred: Prior experience in institutional or healthcare food service.
