Job description

Now Hiring Part-Time Cooks for Day & Evening Shifts

Join our culinary team at ASC and play a crucial role in preparing and serving delicious, nutritious meals while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and food safety for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow recipes and prepare food that meets residents' nutritional needs.
  • Cook or prepare palatable, attractive, and nutritionally adequate meals in required quantities.
  • Lead kitchen staff in food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storing supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean work area during food preparation and service.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of food supplies in accordance with departmental procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Required: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
  • Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling (can be earned while employed).
  • Preferred: Prior experience in institutional or healthcare settings.
