Responsibilities of Cook:

  • Prepare food according to selected menus and approved recipes.
  • Complete the preparation of all food items in a timely manner and assure that all foods meet required serving temperatures.
  • Comply with health, sanitation, safety, and food handling standards.
  • Adhere to quality and cost containment standards.

Qualifications of Cook:

  • Previous experience as a cook in a nursing and rehabilitation facility preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to operate institutional kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of quantity cooking.
