Job summary

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is seeking experienced cooks for long-term care nursing facilities in Lake City, Florida. This role offers both full-time and part-time positions with day and evening shifts, and alternating weekends and holidays.

On-the-job training is provided, and ServSafe certification is preferred or obtainable after hire. Responsibilities include preparing meals from standardized recipes, ensuring safe temperatures, portion control, and appealing presentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe certification preferred or to be obtained after hire.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare/long-term care experience.
• At least 1 year of large-scale cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to recipes to ensure consistent quality.
• Serve meals and portion accurately, maintain food temperatures and presentation.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas; store or discard food per safety procedures.
• Assist in kitchen leadership in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Other duties as assigned.

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Cook for long term care nursing facility in Lake City, Florida. Lake City Nursing Home. 298 SW Prosperity Pl., Lake City, Florida 32024.

Cook Key Duties

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food- handling procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Cook Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
• 1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!
• Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.
