Job summary

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is seeking an experienced Cook for a long-term care nursing facility in Social Circle, GA. The role requires prior healthcare kitchen experience and a ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it.

Day and Evening shifts with alternating weekends and holidays. Compensation is $12.50 per hour, with full-time employment and benefits including health/dental/vision insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become certified after hire.
• 1 year nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare experience required.
• Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and attractive.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains cleanliness, and stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Cook Key Duties

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food- handling procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Cook Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
• 1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!
• Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.
