Job summary

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is hiring a Cook for a nursing home/healthcare setting in Oneonta, NY. The role requires 1 year of healthcare kitchen experience and is offered as full-time with both full-time and part-time positions. Compensation is $18.00 per hour.

Prepares meals per recipes, serves and portion controls, and ensures food safety and quality. The cook may supervise in the absence of the Food Service Director and perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become certified after hired.
• 1 year nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare experience required.
• Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring correct temperature, attractive presentation, and quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains cleanliness standards, and handles storage of excess food per safe procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Dietary Aide for long term care nursing facility in Oneonta, NY. Chestnut Park Nursing Home, 330 Chestnut St., Oneonta, NY.

Cook Key Duties

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food- handling procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Cook Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
• 1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!
• Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.
