Job summary

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is recruiting an experienced Cook for a long term care nursing facility in Social Circle, GA. You will prepare meals from standardized recipes, portion accurately, and ensure food is served at the correct temperature and visually appealing.

Shifts include Day and Evening, alternating weekends and holidays, with ServSafe certification preferred or obtained after hire. CMS offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare experience required.
• ServSafe certification preferred or obtained after hire.
• Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistent, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with correct portioning and proper temperatures.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving; maintains cleanliness and safety standards.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.

Cook Key Duties

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food- handling procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Cook Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
• 1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!
• Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.
