Job summary

Confidence Management Solutions is seeking a Cook for our Oneonta, NY facility. This full-time position (also part-time) operates in nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare environments and requires dedication to safe food handling and quality meals.

Key duties include preparing meals from standardized recipes, portion control, ensuring correct temperatures, cleaning and storage, and stepping in for the Food Service Director when needed.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• ServSafe certification preferred (or will be obtained after hire).
• Minimum 1 year experience in nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes to ensure consistent, tasty, and cost-effective meals.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery with correct portions and temperatures; quality check of all items.
• Clean kitchen after preparation and serving; maintain cleanliness; proper food storage.
• Lead kitchen operations in absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Dietary Aide for long term care nursing facility in Oneonta, NY. Chestnut Park Nursing Home, 330 Chestnut St., Oneonta, NY.

Cook Key Duties

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food- handling procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Cook Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
• 1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!
• Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.
