Overview

Ketchikan Senior Center Cook

We are seeking a dependable Cook to prepare and present nutritious, appealing meals for the senior citizens of Ketchikan and Saxman. Duties include relating to staff, participants and volunteers in a positive manner; supervising and training kitchen staff; ordering food and supplies; preparing meals according to senior nutrition program guidelines; and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen according to Alaska food service regulations.

Qualifications

• Background check required.
• Prior industrial kitchen experience preferred but we will train.
• Must obtain State Food Worker's Card within 10 days of hire.
• This position is part-time, 24 hours per week (6 hours/day Monday through Thursday), starting wage $20/hour DOE.
