Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Belmond in Iowa is seeking a friendly, dedicated cook for the 2nd shift on a part-time basis to join our caring Skilled Nursing team.

You will prepare meals that meet dietary needs, monitor temperatures, follow recipes for large volumes, and contribute to a pleasant, safe dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• High school level education (10th grade) required.
• Experience in skilled nursing foodservice preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain proper food temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents meeting dietary needs and portion controls.
• Record temperatures and ensure food safety and quality during preparation and service.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Rehabilitation Center of Belmond by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
