Job summary

Harmony House Care Center in Waterloo, IA is seeking part-time Cooks for the noon–8pm shift to join a caring, supportive team.

You will prepare meals to meet dietary needs, monitor temperatures, follow recipes, and help provide residents with their favorite parts of the day. A minimum of a 10th grade education is required; Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferred, and the employer offers tuition reimbursement and growth opportunities.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Harmony House Care Center by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
