Job summary

Guttenberg Care Center is seeking an on-call Cook with potential for part-time in a skilled nursing setting. You will prepare and deliver meals, follow dietary guidelines, and ensure food safety for residents.

Ideal candidates have at least a 10th grade education and may have prior SNF foodservice experience; we offer training and room for growth within the team. PRN hours may lead to part-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience preferred, but employer willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to residents ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Maintain safety by recording temperatures and following recipes for large volumes.
• Support residents with a pleasant and safe dining experience.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Guttenberg Care Center by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
