Job summary

The Harrison, a Sonida Senior Living community in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents in an organized and sanitary manner.

You will assist the Culinary Services Director, maintain dining standards, and help ensure timely service while upholding safety regulations. The position offers benefits including health/dental/vision insurance, 401k, PTO from day one, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to Residents including efficient meal service delivery and cleanliness.
• Cleans after preparation and service; keeps work area, pots and equipment clean.
• Ensures leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored properly.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

Qualifications:

• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
