Job summary

The Harrison, a Sonida Senior Living community in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Culinary Services Cook. The role plans, prepares, and serves nutritious meals, supports the Dining Services department, and ensures sanitary, high-quality dining for residents.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, Food Service Sanitation certification, and experience with high-volume meal preparation. Supervisory experience preferred; strong teamwork and recipe-reading skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read recipes and work in a team

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Cleans after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.
