Job summary

Arbor Terrace Herndon is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team on a part-time basis, with Sunday brunch and a double shift on Monday. The position offers $20–$22/hour, based on experience, and a schedule that supports work-life balance.

As part of The Arbor Company, you will prepare fresh meals, accommodate special diets, and keep a clean, safe kitchen while following food safety standards. This role offers growth and meaningful service to residents.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking in a restaurant, senior living, healthcare, or similar environment.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, portion control, and safe food handling.
• Experience with special diets or senior living is preferred.
• A positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, quality meals using established recipes and menus.
• Accommodate special diets and meal modifications.
• Assist with food deliveries, inventory rotation, and required logs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
• Partner with the Dining Director to ensure smooth meal preparation and service.
