Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Cook for the Monterey Court Memory Care community in Happy Valley, OR. Cooks are responsible for providing high-quality food preparation, presentation, and prompt service to residents. They should possess knowledge of food prep techniques, serving methods, portion control, and nutritional requirements for seniors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Dietary Supervisor with meal preparation and service
• Prepare hot and cold items, including soups, sauces, salads, and desserts
• Follow health, safety, and infection control practices
• Coordinate with team members to resolve food service issues
• Manage leftovers and inventory to control costs
• Clean work areas and break down service lines
• Engage with residents to understand their needs and provide excellent service
• Maintain professionalism and a service-oriented attitude
• Perform other duties as assigned

Other Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for up to eight hours
• Experience as an online cook preferred
• Formal or on-the-job training in resident care techniques
• Compassion for seniors
• Push and pull up to 30 pounds
