Job summary

THE SALVATION ARMY A GEORGIA CORP is seeking a full-time kitchen cook to plan, prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals for large groups in a Florida facility. The role requires maintaining safe food handling, cleaning kitchen areas, and managing inventories in a standard kitchen environment.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least one year of cooking for large groups, and fluency in English. A Florida Food Manager Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate English.
• Must have or obtain Florida Food Managers Certification within 90 days of hire.

Schedule/Hours: 40This position is responsible for:Plans, prepares, cooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules.Key Responsibilities:Ensure all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner.Cleans kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances.Maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
