Available Shifts / Schedule:

• Part-time (29 hours per week) - 6AM-2PM & 11AM-7PM - rotating shifts.

Cook - Position Summary:

Provides high quality meals at all times to residents, guests, and staff. Participates in all aspects of food production. This position may supervise other staff. The cook reports to the Director of Dining Services.

Cook - Responsibilities:

• Prepares all food in accordance with the daily menu planner, using standardized recipes, in a timely manner.
• Works the food line during mealtime.
• Plates food attractively and ensures condiments and garnishes are served appropriately.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean, adheres to sanitation schedules.
• Ensures proper food temperature maintenance.
• Maintains stock rooms, coolers & freezers, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of perishables.
• Minimizes food waste using proper storage and recycling techniques.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Performs duties adhering to Morningside Elite Management standards.
• Maintains a safe working environment and positive demeanor.
• Adheres to all policies and performs other duties as assigned.

Cook - Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or related experience/training.
• Obtain/hold required food handling/sanitation licenses.
