Job summary

Village Park Senior Living LLC is seeking an experienced Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents using high-quality ingredients. The role requires creativity, reliability, and a commitment to delivering an excellent dining experience.

The Cook will follow menus, supervise food preparation, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations while maintaining clean and organized kitchen operations in a resident-focused community.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Serv Safe certification may be required.
  • Ability to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with recipes and menu.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen hygiene.
  • Experience in a restaurant setting and ability to guide others in food preparation.

Job Title: CookReports To: Food and Beverage ManagerSummary: The Cook will be responsible for using high-quality ingredients to prepare delicious meals for our residents. The ideal candidate is experienced, creative, and committed to creating an excellent food experience for residents.Responsibilities and Duties:Cook or otherwise prepare high-quality, nutritious meals with excellent food presentation according to recipes and/or menuSet up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipmentPrepare food and present it in an appealing mannerMaintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessaryFollow all food safety regulationsParticipate in daily kitchen opening and closing proceduresPrepares food items on Community’s daily menu for Residents within scheduled time frameKeeps food service areas clean in compliance with local and state regulationsDemonstrates knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to- ovens, slicers, mixers, steam tables, steamers, toasters, coffee pots, refrigerators, and freezersAssures that Resident diets are being followed while on shiftReports to supervisor any loss, breakage, or waste of supplies and equipmentObserves and communicates to supervisor any problems or potential problems in the dietary departmentThis job description represents an overview of the responsibilities for the above referenced position.
