Job summary

Beyond Catering in Darien, IL is seeking a Cook to prepare food to Buona standards while maintaining a clean, sanitary workspace. You will follow recipes and cook food to order, ensuring quality and consistency.

Responsibilities include learning multiple kitchen stations, following recipes, maintaining portion control and health/safety standards, restocking, and efficiently fulfilling guest orders across dine-in, takeout, or drive-thru. Competitive pay ranges from $16 to $19 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• Must work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must obtain Food Handler certificate.
• Must maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn the following positions: Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep.
• Follow recipes and food preparation processes such as cooking, seasoning, grilling, chopping, dicing, cutting and slicing.
• Maintain portion control and monitor food levels on the line.
• Prepare quality food that meets Buona standards.
• Ensure all food is made properly before serving to guests.
• Restock food line.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders.
• Handle raw and finished waste according to procedures.
• Act with urgency with guests (dine-in, takeout, drive-thru).
• Wash cookware and utensils; clean equipment as assigned.
• Clean and sanitize as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Washing cookware and utensils and cleaning equipment as assigned
• Cleaning and sanitizing as needed
• Other duties as assigned
