Job summary

Volare Health, LLC is seeking a Cook at Corvallis Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to prepare meals that meet residents' dietary needs. The role reports to the Dietary Services Manager and requires a strong focus on safety, sanitation, and portion control.

The cook will handle menu preparation, food production, and coordination with dietary plans while maintaining a positive, resident-centered approach. DOE pay and varied scheduling support our caregiving teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handler's permit / ServSafe certification as per State requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to relate positively and cooperatively with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food according to planned menus, diets, recipes and temperature controls.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and sanitized.
• Verify trays for menu and diet accuracy and ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
• Work in non-temperature controlled environments near ovens and stoves.
• Assist in inventory and report hazardous conditions or incidents.
• 5 years restaurant experience preferred.

Summary:

The Cook is responsible to prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations under the supervision of the Dietary Services Manager.

Pay:

$21.91 - $28.13/hr DOE

Job Functions

• Prepare and serve food and meals food in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portion, and temperature control procedures and facility policies.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Check all trays for menu and diet preferences and accuracy; ensure proper storage of food and supplies; adhere to universal precautions and sanitary, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
• Be able to work in a non-temperature regulated environment (work near ovens, stoves, enter walk in refrigerators/freezers).
• Ensure that food and supplies are available for the next meals and assist in inventorying and storing incoming foods and supplies, and report any hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents, and incidents.
• 5 years restaurant experience preferred
