Job summary

Wohali Golf Course in Coalville, UT seeks a Part-Time Cook for a seasonal role lasting up to six months. Join Troon, a global leader in golf and hospitality, and contribute to daily restaurant and banquet service with teamwork and pride.

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience considered.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Training certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantities of food according to the production plan.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas.
• Alert chef or supervisor to equipment issues, overages, or shortages.
• Requisition inventory and receive supplies for daily production.
• Ensure proper storage, wrapping, dating and rotation of food items.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Role Type

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less).

General Purpose

Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption, and enjoyment.

Essential Duties

• Prepare sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needs
• Utilize whole food products, eliminating any waste
• Maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas
• Alert the chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner
• Requisition inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production
• Ensure proper storage of food items; wrap, date, and rotate food items
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as required

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

• Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes, and smells
• Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms
• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds

Environment/Noise

• Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather
• Noise level is moderate
