Job summary

World of Golf in Florence, KY, is seeking a full-time Cook to join a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property within the Troon organization. The role involves preparing a variety of food products for restaurant and banquet operations, while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$18.00 per hour, p otential for merit-based raises at 30 and 90 days.

General Purpose:

Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations.

• Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance with production plan or forecast needs.
• Utilizes whole food products eliminating any waste.
• Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.
• Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner.
• Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
• Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties asrequired.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells.
• Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
• Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather.
• Noiselevel is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
