JOB SUMMARY:

The Cook supports all activities of the Dining Services Department, including the Kitchen and Dining Room. This position is responsible for the quality of meals, delivery during meal service, and compliance with special diets offered by the Community. As a Cook, it is important to provide the highest quality food preparation, plate presentation, and prompt service to all residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow the approved Menu Program or approved substitution menu that meets nutritional requirements, as directed.
• Respond to residents' likes and dislikes to maintain high resident satisfaction.
• Ensure all foods are prepared to residents' satisfaction and in accordance with safe food handling practices.
• Store all food items appropriately and date them properly.
• Help maintain a clean kitchen environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Who We Are: One of our newest communities, The Amber, was acquired in November 2022. The community has a license for up to 40 assisted living residents and has 32 total units. Located in the small town of Clatskanie, many residents are long-time community members. The community features a newly renovated employee breakroom and a family-like staff.
