We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at the Courte at Citrus Heights community in Citrus Heights, California. If you have a passion for serving senior residents and possess relevant food service experience, we encourage you to apply.

Position Details

Pay Range: $21.00/hr (base pay, actual pay based on skills and experience)

Employment Type: Full-time

Seniority Level: Entry level

Responsibilities

• Assist Dietary Supervisor in meal preparation and service for breakfast, lunch, or dinner
• Prepare hot and cold menu items, including soups, sauces, salads, and desserts
• Follow health, safety, and infection control standards
• Coordinate with team members to resolve food service issues and manage inventory
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and proper food handling procedures
• Engage with residents to provide excellent service and support
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and bend for up to eight hours
• Experience as an online cook or in food services preferred
• Formal training or on-the-job experience in food preparation and resident care
• Compassion for senior adults
• Ability to push and pull up to 30 pounds
