Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook at Citrus Heights Post Acute, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that contribute to their overall well-being. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of appetizing and nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences
• Ensure that all food preparation and cooking activities adhere to safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with dietary staff to plan menus and accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions
• Maintain inventory of food supplies and place orders as needed
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Assist with meal service and provide excellent customer service to residents and staff

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a cook in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
