Job summary

South Shore Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and serve daily meals for residents, following planned menus and dietary needs in a safe, sanitary kitchen. You will maintain cleanliness, support tray-line setup, and ensure timely delivery while complying with OBRA, federal and state standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals in accordance with resident dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Assist in setting up the tray line and ensure timely delivery of meal trays to patient areas.
• Work in the dish room and maintain high sanitation standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and team members to ensure meal satisfaction.

Cook Requirements:

• Ability to collaborate with the dietary team and maintain a positive working environment
• Availability to work scheduled hours, including weekends and holidays
• Recent experience as a Cook in a healthcare environment (preferred)
