Job summary

Chateau Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Illinois seeks a dedicated Cook to prepare and serve meals according to the planned menu in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner. The Cook will ensure compliance with facility, OBRA, federal, state, and other regulatory standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

The role requires collaboration with the dietary team to meet resident dietary needs, availability for scheduled hours (including weekends and holidays), and ideally

Qualifications

• Recent healthcare environment experience as a Cook (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals per resident dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and ensure sanitation and safety compliance.
• Assist in setting up tray line and deliver meal trays to patient areas in a timely manner.
• Work in the dish room and uphold high sanitation standards.
• Communicate with residents, staff, and team to ensure meal satisfaction.

Cook Requirements

• Ability to collaborate with the dietary team and maintain a positive working environment
• Availability to work scheduled hours, including weekends and holidays
• Recent experience as a Cook in a healthcare environment (preferred)
