Job summary

Extended Care, LLC is seeking a dedicated Cook at our Chicago-area facility to prepare and serve daily meals in a safe, sanitary kitchen aligned with resident dietary needs.

You will work with the dietary team to maintain high sanitation standards, participate in the tray-line setup, and help deliver meals to patient areas while communicating effectively with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate with the dietary team.
• Availability to work scheduled hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Recent experience as a Cook in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals according to resident dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen meeting sanitation and safety regulations.
• Assist in setting up the tray line and ensure timely delivery of meal trays to patient areas.
• Work in the dish room and maintain high sanitation standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and team members to ensure meal satisfaction.

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and serve meals according to the planned menu in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner. The Cook will ensure compliance with facility, OBRA, federal, state, and other regulatory standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
