Job summary

Lemont-Nursing-and-Rehab in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, following planned menus in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner. The Cook will ensure compliance with facility, OBRA, federal and state standards while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Join our compassionate team and collaborate with dietary staff to meet residents' dietary needs, maintain high sanitation, and deliver meals on time with care for every resident’s well-being.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as a Cook in healthcare (preferred).
• Ability to collaborate with the dietary team.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals in accordance with resident dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, ensuring sanitation and safety compliance.
• Assist in setting up the tray line and ensure timely delivery of meal trays to patient areas.
• Work in the dish room and maintain high sanitation standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and team members to ensure meal satisfaction.
