Job summary

Carlton Senior Living is seeking a part-time cook to join our dining services team. You will prepare and cook dishes following recipes, maintain cleanliness, assist with inventory, and support safety protocols while engaging warmly with residents and staff.

The role offers competitive pay, $18-$19 per hour, and a schedule of Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old per Title 22 requirements.
• At least one year of culinary experience.
• Formal culinary training or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes by following standardized recipes, ensuring proper seasoning, doneness, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas while efficiently managing food inventory and production prep.
• Support daily kitchen operations, coordinating deliveries, and properly handling meats, produce, and baked goods.
• Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.
