Job summary

Carlton Senior Living in Pleasant Hill, CA is looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team. Schedule: Thursday to Monday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, full time.

You will prepare and cook dishes per standardized recipes, maintain sanitation, manage inventory, and support daily kitchen operations. Qualifications

• At least eighteen (18) years or older, per Title 22 requirements.
• At least one year of culinary experience.
• Formal culinary training or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes by following standardized recipes, ensuring proper seasoning, doneness, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas while efficiently managing food inventory and production prep.
• Support daily kitchen operations, coordinating deliveries, and properly handling meats, produce, and baked goods.
• Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.
