Linden Square Senior Care is seeking a cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for senior residents in a part-time, in-person role. The position emphasizes food safety, proper storage, and hygiene, with attention to resident dietary needs and preferences, including therapeutic diets.

Join a supportive team focused on high service standards, cost-conscious operations, and ongoing training. Shift runs 11am–7:30pm on weekends, with total hours reflecting a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or food service worker in senior living or healthcare is preferred.
• Solid understanding of food safety, portion control, and basic nutrition.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Certification such as Food Handler’s or ServeSafe is preferred.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals from our daily menus
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation
• Support residents’ dietary needs and preferences, including therapeutic diets
• Collaborate with team members to maintain high service standards
• Assist with inventory, cost control, and kitchen cleanliness

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a line cook or food service worker (senior living or healthcare a plus)
• Understanding of food safety, portion control, and basic nutrition
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods
• A positive attitude and genuine respect for older adults
• Food Handler’s or ServeSafe certification preferred
