Sagora currently seeks a Cook for the Elison Independent & Assisted Living of Maplewood to prepare à la carte items, monitor stock, and keep the kitchen clean and compliant with standards. The role serves residents in a warm, friendly manner within a fast-paced team setting.

Candidates should have 1+ year in a commercial kitchen, with valid ServSafe and Food Handler permits, plus strong communication skills to engage residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a commercial kitchen (preferred).
• Must possess ServSafe Certification and a Food Handler’s permit as regulated by state and local authorities.
• Skills in preparing specialized dishes for specific diets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Cook à la carte items.
• Monitor stock and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
• Assist training of Culinary team members.
• Follow established methods of meal preparation and presentation.
• Serve meals to residents promptly and in a friendly, courteous manner.
