Cook

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Full Time (Monday-Friday; 35 hours/40 weeks-school year and 30 hours/9 weeks-summer)

We are committed to providing high-quality child care and comprehensive education, health and well-being services to children from 6 weeks to 5 years. We are now hiring a Cook to join us in our mission of creating a warm and supportive environment where children and families can thrive.

Your Role

• Prepare nutritious, tasteful, and appealing meals and snacks for children, staff, and visitors, following approved menus and CACFP guidelines.
• Ensure all food service activities meet established expectations, including proper food transport if necessary.
• Handle food preparation tasks such as cooking breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or HSE equivalent.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it immediately after hire.
• Experience in nutrition, food preparation, and sanitizing.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, reach two feet, and bend to ground level.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks like chopping and peeling for at least two hours daily.
• Willingness to travel and own a vehicle; valid license and insurance required.
• Immunized against MMR and TDaP.
• Ability to pass background checks, including DHHS and fingerprinting.
