Senior Catering Cook

Location: UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MAINE - PORTLAND - 10387004

Workdays/shifts: Varying shifts, days/hours (open availability preferred). More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $22.95 per hour

What You'll Do: As a Senior Catering Cook at Sodexo, you are a team player and food waste reducer. You'll prepare and create nutritious dishes while prioritizing customer service. Your passion for food and warm smile will positively impact those you serve. You provide the highest quality of food service at all times.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
  • Follow complex recipes and/or product directions.
  • Produce small to large batch goods using classical and contemporary cooking, plating, and garnishing techniques.
  • May oversee production staff, train, and assign tasks.
  • Attend work and show up on time for scheduled shifts with satisfactory regularity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary depending on business needs and client requirements.

  • Team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and committed to maintaining a healthy and safe working environment.
  • 4 or more years of related work experience preferred.
