Employment Type: Full Time with every other weekend

Job Summary

Working for a Maine-owned company, our Cooks collaborate with a busy Dietary Services team to prepare appetizing and healthful food tailored to residents' nutritional and health needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Review menus prior to food preparation
• Inspect special diet trays for accuracy
• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen
• Dispose of food and waste according to policies
• Coordinate dietary services with other departments as needed
• Assist in standardizing work methods
• Ensure food and supplies are readily available for meals

Requirements

Education: Associate’s degree preferred but not required

Experience: At least two years of related food service experience

Leadership: Leadership skills and experience may be needed if supervising staff

Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
