Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.00

Full Time with every other weekend

Cook Job Summary

Working for a Maine-owned company, our Cooks collaborate with a busy Dietary Services team to prepare appetizing and healthful food tailored to residents' nutritional needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Review menus before food preparation
• Inspect special diet trays for accuracy
• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods
• Clean kitchen areas
• Dispose of food and waste per policies
• Coordinate dietary services with other departments
• Assist in standardizing work methods
• Ensure food and supplies are available for meals

Requirements

Education: Associate’s degree preferred but not required

Experience: Two years in food service

Leadership: May require leadership skills if supervising staff

Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication
