Job summary

Performance Team in the United States seeks a Solutions Design Engineer to execute data analysis, develop facility layouts, and craft initial warehouse concepts for clients. This hands-on role focuses on front-end concepting from data analysis to costing and RFP support, producing layouts, CAD drawings, cost estimates, and proposal content. The role reports to the Engineering Design Team.

Travel approx. 25% with site visits to warehouses, vendors, and customer locations as needed; role is 100%

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 3–5 years in warehousing and distribution; conveyor design required.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.
• Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze order data, inventory data, and SKU profiles to support facility layout and solution development.
• Provide productivity, capacity, and space estimates in support of RFPs.
• Own front‑end solution concepting, including layout development, automation ideation, and high‑level system modeling.
• Create presentations to support engineering recommendations and present solutions to senior management and customers.
• Conduct feasibility studies to determine ROI on proposed solutions.
• Participate in customer presentations and proposal reviews.
• Consult with operations to validate practicality, cost-effectiveness, and implementability.
• Support RFP responses and proposal development, including scope definitions and technical content.
• Design conveyor and sorter systems in AutoCAD and collaborate with integrators and vendors.
