Job summary

ID Logistics US is seeking a Solutions Design Engineer to design and optimize warehouse, eCommerce, packaging, and distribution solutions for a nationwide network. You will own the solution development lifecycle from RFI/RFP through handoff to operations, applying industrial engineering, automation, pricing, analytics, and customer engagement.

The role requires collaboration across Sales, Operations, IT, Safety, and Quality, plus strong modeling and Excel skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
5+ years in distribution, warehousing, or 3PL environments.
Experience designing operational solutions or warehouse optimization.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data modeling skills.

Responsibilities

Develop warehousing, eCommerce, packaging, and distribution solutions.
Lead design, evaluation, planning, testing, integration, and implementation of solutions.
Create facility layouts, operating models, and pricing estimates for new opportunities.
Analyze labor, material handling, storage, automation, and processes for efficiency gains.
Design warehouse layouts and process flows using AutoCAD and other design tools.
Conduct workflow analysis, time studies, capacity modeling, and productivity assessments.
Develop ROI analyses and capital investment justifications.
Evaluate automation technologies including packaging automation and AMR/AGV solutions.
Research and pilot innovative solutions such as AI, simulation, and digital twins.
Optimize resource utilization to improve performance.
Collaborate with vendors to design and implement capital projects.
Support customer solution development for distribution and packaging environments.
